Man, I hope that this year I get those free address labels in the mail. I usually have tons of them by now, but I guess people lost track of me since I moved in March. The organizations of America think that if they send you some unique address labels with your name printed on them that you will then contribute cash to their cause. I’m sorry, I have been dealing with the disabled, cancer patients, retired cops, veterans, orphans, homeless people, and spina bifida for most of my life. I refuse to contribute MORE money and time than I already do. When one is in ministry and organizations where they do outreaches, it is a given that you will be contributing both time and money to these causes. When you have family members who are part of that cause, you tend to give to them moreso than some anonymous organization.
Back to what I was saying, I love those labels cuz they save my hands when I am paying my bills. I have to write way less if I just have a sticker to pu
t on the envelope. My address is hella long now, too, so that makes it worse. It is also going to make it way easier if I ever get to those Christmas greeting cards that I bought like 3 years ago and never sent out ONE!! I have good intentions every year and end up with nothing to show for it by the time the holidays are over. It’s a shame, too, because mad people send me cards and I rarely ever return the favor. I give more cards than I send. I am so bad! Guess I will go and make sure that all those places that usually send me labels send them to the new addy or they aren’t even worth the wait HAHA.
